A Review of Language Testing and Assessment in Online Teaching

In line with the increased importance of language testing and assessment in online learning, paper sets out to present an overview landscape based on available scholarship global Vietnamese contexts. Several benefits are reported, including promotion learner autonomy, evaluation students’ progress, convenience. Methods encompass collecting evidences learning using rubrics. A number problems current practices environment delineated, cheating/plagiarism, preference for selected response items, lack validity reliability, workload teachers. Recommendations relevant stakeholders teachers teacher education institutions improve quality accordingly presented.
